CITZEN SIGNUP procedure for Wood County Emergency Notification Calls
The Wood County Emergency Management has implemented a new rapid emergency public notification system. The new system provides rapid call technology to notify the community quickly pertaining to threats and everyday public safety needs. The County Emergency Services has acquired all of the public local carrier telephone numbers. “They do not have” cell phone numbers or other voice devices that are utilized by the public. Therefore, if you have a cell phone or another voice device and wish to have those numbers added to the County Emergency Call List, please do one of the following: 1.Call the Emergency Services Office at 304-420-0911 and ask to speak with Mary Beth or Ed Hupp or 2.Go to the county website located at www.woodcounty911.com or www.woodcountywv.com and find the logo depicted below. Click on it and you will be prompted to enter your address and the associated device telephone numbers.
