Program/Service Notes:
Mission is to improve the health status of the residents of Wirt County and surrounding areas by providing access to preventive and quality primary care services regardless of one's ability to pay. Operated by Wirt County Health Services Assoc., Inc. The Clinic uses both physicians and physician assistants; Diagnostic lab services are performed on site by certified phlebotomists. Results are received promptly via our Medical Information System. DOT screens Under Women's Health Services, family planning and gynecology care are available. The Clinic is a provider for the WV Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program and Family Planning Program that offers care at no cost to those who cannot afford it. Preventive Care includes Well Child Exams - complete physical exams are offered to protect your child from illness as required by DHHR, Head Start, and Kindergarten; Sports and Employee Physicals; Health Fairs - provided to the community and schools annually. Arrangements can be made to conduct a health fair at the site of any area facility. Consultation and education include CPR & First Aid instruction to any group or organization. Wellness programs, patient education, and community education programs are offered. Urgent Care - Staff is available to respond to accidents and injuries that require immediate attention. Pharmacy Assistance Program - Most medications can be obtained for those who meet the financial guidelines. Many patients cannot afford their needed medications that are not covered by insurance. This program offers them at no cost. Specialty Care - Parkersburg Cardiology available by appointment.
