Program/Service Notes:
Anyone who is homeless can apply at the Dept of Human Services. In the "Homeless Program" you will receive a voucher. If you can get a landlord to rent you the apartment utilities paid for the amount of the voucher. You must make job contacts or apply for SSI and show your progress to the Dept. You may be allowed to stay at the Salvation Army 7 days at a time and the Dept. will pay $9 a day to them. Maximum stay is 6 weeks and then will be approved according to your situation.
