Program/Service Notes:
PURPOSE: To assist in achieving and maintaining economic, social and personal independence; to provide assistance to families in the establishment of safe, permanent, stable, home environments; to protect children and adults from abuse and neglect, when these persons are unable to provide self-protection. To assist economically dependent, at risk, families in becoming self-supporting. AFDC/U (Aid to Families with Dependent Children) Food Stamps, Medicaid, Day Care, Foster Care, Work & Training Programs, Child Support Enforcement, Emergency Assistance; Handicapped Children's Services, Adult Protective Services; Protective Services for Children (Child Abuse & Neglect) and trip tickets. TANF - Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, WV Works, LIEAP(Low Income Energy Assistance Program), Chore Services.
