Services are designed to return patients to the community with maximum function and independence. An individual care plan is developed and followed. Stroke Support group also offered every 3rd Thursday at 3pm . A 40 bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital. They offer a continuum of care through an interdisciplinary team approach; Physical, Occupational, Respiratory, Speech and Therapeutic recreation therapies as well as Psychology are provided six days a week to patients in the diagnostic groups: Amputee, Arthritis, Stroke, Spinal Cord, Head Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurological disorders, and Multiple musculoskeletal trauma. Specific programs also offered are Oncology, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Services are provided to patients 16 years and older. 24 hour Nursing care is directed by Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurses. Also offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, industrial, sports medicine, pediatrics and speech therapy on an outpatient basis. Beds are available on a short term basis for patients who need rehab but their families need to be out of town. Patients can stay at HealthSouth for up to 2 weeks-Medicare covered. Out-Patient services are provided with access to a courtesy van that operates within a 20 mile radius of Health South. Medicare covered.
