This program permits mothers who deliver naturally to be released within 24 hours of the delivery. Women who deliver by Cesarean section are eligible for early release 48 hours after their surgery. A certified hospital or ServCare home health care nurse is sent out to the family's home to complete final check-ups on both mother and child within 48 hours of their release from St. Joseph's Hospital. The nurse is able to give you more one-on-one attention. The one-time postnatal visit is free. Other Counties are covered under this new program that has individuals that deliver at St. Josephs
