Transitional living for recovering alcoholics and substance abuse. Offer a safe environment for those men and women who wish to recover from alcoholism/drug addiction. Adjacent to MOV is a facility to house women and also dependent children of women who are participating in a residential two year transitional program. The target population is adult women age 18 and over. Just a couple of blocks away on Tefft Street is the "Wilson House". The self-supporting sober-living house offers a safe environment to men who may be leaving a halfway house or who need a transitional living home between early recovery and future homes. While residents there, these men are required to have a job, be in school, etc. and maintain an alcohol/drug free lifestyle with emphasis on active participation in their individual recovery programs. Self-esteem is restored through the exercises of responsibility, helping others, socialization, and constructive pride in maintaining an alcohol and /or drug-free living environment without depending upon any outside authority or help.
