Program/Service Notes:
The PS Project provides peer support services for adults living with chronic
mental illness. 12 beds transitional housing. 2 bed emergency
housing. Case management, life skills, assistance in securing permanent housing.
PS West Drop-In Center at 1714 19th St. provides life skills, support groups, activities, recreation, meals, socialization, case management, computer skills, job skills, community service volunteering, as well as advocacy. Drop in center is free and open to individuals with mental illness and those who care for them.
Volunteers Needed: Shopping, health & beauty advice, fashion consulting, joy rides & destination transportation, friendships, discussion leaders ( therapy, spiritual, other), game leaders, exercise trainers, nutrition advisers, budget & finance, non-profit (fund accounting expertise); Hands on: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, roofing, gutters, electrical, etc.
