Hit the Ground Running is a pre-employment certification program. Also co-sponsored by the WV Department of Education, it is a 4 week, 120 hour job training program. Contact local WorkForce WV Center. This is not a youth program. The Workforce Investment Board of the Mid-Ohio Valley is responsible for the administration and implementation of federal employment and training programs in a nine county area of West Virginia. If you qualify as a dislocated worker or a displaced homemaker, Workforce Investment Act(WIA) funding may assist you in many ways, depending on your specific situation. Services may include case management, career exploration and occupational training.
