Program/Service Notes:
Service for the elderly, enabling them to maintain some level of independence in their homes, and provides satisfaction to senior citizens able to serve. Senior Companions must be 60 years of age or older and have a desire to work with the elderly. The emphasis of the Senior Companion Program is to provide companionship. Senior Companions are volunteers. Persons meeting guidelines receive a stipend of $2.45 per hour which is tax-free and does not interfere with eligibility for other programs.
