American Red Cross

The American Red Cross is a premiere humanitarian organization led by volunteers.  There are many opportunities for volunteers at the local Mid-Ohio Valley chapter. Areas include Disaster Relief,  Health and Safety, Armed Forces Emergency Service, Blood Services, and Youth. Mid Ohio Valley Medical Reserve Corps

Whether you have medical skills, mental health skills or simply want to contribute to public health and safety, we are looking for a variety of willing volunteers who may sign up via the Medical Reserve Corps or through Public Health Threat Preparedness. Whether you are a licensed medical professional or have no medical background but wish to provide basic support please contact the Mid Ohio Valley MRC at 304-485-7493 or via e-mail to marthalamp@wvdhhr.org.

 

Camden Clark Memorial Hospital

The Camden-Clark Auxiliary provides vital services within the hospital as well as to the community. The volunteer program has both adult and teen volunteers. St. Joseph's Hospital

When you volunteer your time at St. Joseph's Hospital, the rewards, smiles and personal gratifications are yours every day. Since 1965, over 3,500 people have given their time and talents assisting the hospital’s staff. Their contribution to caring and healing can best be measured in the personal satisfaction they’ve received by helping others. St. Joseph's Volunteer program is open to men, women, boys and girls – 14 years of age who have completed the eighth grade. Humane Society of Parkersburg

Volunteers are very important to the Humane Society of Parkersburg! Whether you have an hour a week - or an hour a month - HSOP relies on the assistance of caring, hardworking volunteers to help our animals find forever homes. The HSOP receives about 6,000 animals each year and to continue our work, we need your help as a volunteer. Our shelter offers volunteer opportunities both within the shelter and outside the shelter--involving animals and without animals.  Contact (304) 422-5541 for more information.

Hands On Network

Affiliates in Houston, Dallas, and Louisiana are assisting first responders to access the damage left by Ike. They continue to help recruit and manage volunteers needed for local shelters and are assisting the Red Cross stage additional shelters throughout the region. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
